    3. OBIT # 5468 - EASTERN CHRONICLE - 8 JANUARY 1942 HAND INJURY PROVES FATAL - WESTVILLE MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL WEEK AFTER ACCIDENT. Following a brief illness caused by an injury to his hand while at his work at the Drummond colliery a week ago the death of DAVID MUIR of Westville occured at the Aberdeen Hospital. The deceased was born in Stellarton 75 years ago, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. MICHAEL MUIR but resided for the greater part of his life in Westville. Had he lived until February he and Mrs. Muir would have celebrated the 54th anniversary of their wedding. Mr. Muir is survived by his wife, one son, HENRY, Stellarton locomotive engineer with the C.N.R., and three daughters, MRS. MAYNE SUTHERLAND, MRS. IAN PATTON, Westville; and MRS. ROYAL WHITE of Manchester, Mass. Two daughters, FLORENCE and MRS. JAMES CONWAY, predeceased him. He is also survived by one brother, MICHAEL MUIR of Westville. Interment was made at Auburn cemetery.
