Robert P. Arenburg 1976 Bridgewater Bulletin Robert P. Arenburg of Bridgewater, passed away on Monday Decmeber 13, at Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born at Midville Branch in 1888, he was a son of the late Obediah and Louisa (Oickle) Arenburg. He was an employee of Bowater Mersey Paper company for more than twenty years and served as woods foreman until retirement in 1953. He is survived by a daughter, Mabel (Mrs. Lloyd Jodrey), of New Canada; seven sons, Raymond of Farmington; Arnold of Bridgewater; Owen, Simpson's Corner; Basil, Branch LaHave; Ronald, New Canada; Harold, New Germany; Randolph of Alberta; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Eva Leona Wagner; two sons and a daughter; and his second wife, the former Princetta Awalt. Funeral service was held from Wamback's Memorial Chapel, Bridgewater on Wednesday afternoon, December 15, and was conducted by Rev. W.L. Myra. Pallbearers were four of Mr. Arenburg's sons, Arnold, Basil, Ronald, and Harold. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery in New Canada.
