    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 23 JUNE 1964 MRS. HENRY HAYMAN - Tatamagouche - The death of Mrs. Henry HAYMAN occurred on June 18, at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, at the age of 77 years. She was the former Miss Mary MacKAY, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel MacKAY of Earltown, and before her marriage trained as a nurse in the Boston City Hospital in Massachusetts. Coming back to Nova Scotia she did private nursing, assisting Dr. MURRAY and Dr. GASS on special cases, and spending five years as matron in the Truro Hospital. She was an excellent nurse and a favorite with her patients. After her marriage she lived in Tatamagouche, where she attended the Sedgwick Memorial Presbyterian Church, taking part in its activities in her younger days, and always ready to help where needed professionally. Her sister, Katie, (Mrs. Arthur MacLEOD) predeceased her in 1952. Surviving are her husband, a brother, James MacKAY of Earltown, a niece, Isabel, (Mrs. CODE) Port Arthur, Ontario. The funeral service was conducted from the Presbyterian Church in Earltown with Reverend Robert MILLS, minister of the Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche conducting the service. It was largely attended and the many flowers bore silent testimony to the respect and affection in which she was held. The hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd" and "Abide With Me." The pallbearers were Ardeth HAYMAN, Earl HAYMAN, Harold and Henry FERGUSON, Merle HAYMAN, and Donnie MacKAY. Interment was in the Earltown Cemetery.
