Born at North River, he was a son of the late Aldon and Abigail (Demone) Whynot. He was a member of North River Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Florence Oickle; five daughters, Beatrice, Springfield; Eva, Eleanor, and Lona, all of North River; June, McAdam, New Brunswick; five sons, Foster and Basil, both of North River; Berlyn and Russell, both of Springfield; and Eugene, Aylesford; two sisters, Freda, Bridgewater; Bessie, Cornwall; two brothers, Harold and Irving; 48 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four daughters, two sons, two sisters, and two great-grandchildren. The body is in Langille's Funeral home, New Germany. Funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday in North River Lutheran Church, with burial in North River Cemetery. Flowers from the immediate family only.
