Joseph Arthur Blades 2000 Halifax CHronicle Herald Published: Friday, January 28, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Joseph Arthur Blades, 76, 16 Pleasant Street, Yarmouth, died January 27, 2000, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born at Cape Sable Island, he was a son of the late Henry and Flora (Rennenhan) Blades. He was a construction worker. Surviving are his wife, Pauline; sons, Loran, John, David, all of Yarmouth; daughters, Kimberley Blades, Yarmouth; Sharon Hanf, Ontario; brothers, Havelock, Cape Breton; Hanson, West Head; sisters, Freda Crocker, Yarmouth; Pauline Thomas, Port LaTour; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. He ws predeceased by brothers, George, Winfield, Chesley; sisters, Jennie Robicheau, Maude Doucette. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, prayers 8 p.m. today, both in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Notre Dame of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Yarmouth, Rev. John MacPherson officiating. Spring burial in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth. Family flowers only. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
