OBIT # 5685 - EVENING NEWS - 18 APRIL 1972 Alma- John (Jack) BOUTILIER of this community died at his home this morning. Born in Stellarton 83 years ago, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Boutilier. Mr. Boutilier was a retired machinist and a former roundhouse foreman with the CNR. He was a member of Sharon-St. John United Church, Retired Railwaymen's Association, Southern Cross Rebekah Lodge No.3. He was the oldest Past Grand of the Fuller No.5, IOOF from which he held a 60 year jewel; also the oldest member of Albion Encampment of the Maritime Province, oldest member of Canton Dryden, No.2, Westville. Surviving are his wife, the former Susanna Fraser; three daughters, Kathaleen (Mrs. Norton Lebans), Saint John, N.B.; Helen (Mrs. Roy Murray), St. Andrew's, N.B.; Jennie(Mrs. H.L.P. MacNeil), New Glasgow; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Eliza Mabey, Mrs. John Smith, both of Stellarton; Mrs. Alex Gillis, Truro; two brothers, Bert, Toronto; James, Stellarton. He was predeceased by two sons. The remains will rest at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home, King St., New Glasgow, after 7pm this evening. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 2pm from Sharon-St.John United Church. Interment will be in Lorne Street cemetery, New Glasgow.
