Cecil Edward Alexander Oickle 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Cecil Edward Alexander Oickle, 93, Lower Northfield, died May 5, 2001, in Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born at Big Lots, he was a son of the late Arthur and Minnie (Rhuland) Oickle. Surviving are son, Dale (Carol Ann); daughter, Marina Lohnes (James), both of Lower Northfield; sisters, Mildred Langille, Fauxburg; Jean Oickle, Lower Northfield; brothers, Charles, Blockhouse; Gordon, Rhodes Corner; grandsons, Lorraine, Jamie, and Jody; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Princetta Oickle; sister, Edith; brothers, Wilfred, Evan, Paul. Cremation has taken place under the direction of R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. There will be no visitation by request. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, West Northfield, Rev. Gloria McClure-Fraser officiating.
