Norma Mae Publicover 2010 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, August 12, 2010. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Norma Mae Publicover, 90, Pleasantville, passed away August 10, 2010, in Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born at Middle LaHave on January 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Dorothy (Bailey) Shankle. She is survived by her daughter, Darlene Haughn, Pleasantville, with whom she resided for eleven years; grandchildren, Tracey (Kelly) Ernst, Conquerall Bank; Tammy (Jeff) Hiltz, West Northfield; Troy Haughn, Halifax; great-grandchildren, Jordan Haughn, Kaitlyn and Katherine Ernst, Nicholas, Logan, and Jolie Haughn. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles M. Publicover; and son-in-law, Wayne R. Haughn. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14, in Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating, with visitation Friday from 7-9 p.m. Private family burial will follow in Pleasantville Cemetery. A reception will follow in Pleasantville Fire Hall. Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Knox Presbyterian Church, Dublin Shore, Children's Wish Foundation, Lunenburg County Branch of the Victorian Order of Nurses or charity of your choice.
