UNKNOWN PAPER - 10 FEBRUARY 1951 EARL KALMAN NICHOLS - East Earltown - This community was saddened on January 27 when it became known that Earl Kalman NICHOLS, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben NICHOLS, had passed away suddenly at his home at Louisville on January 25. He was born at Upper North River 41 years ago and in 1910 he moved to East Earltown with his parents where he made many friends. The funeral was largely attended by sorrowing relatives and friends on Monday afternoon January 29, from the home of his parents and was conducted by the Rev. Mr. WAGNER of New Annan United Church who spoke words of comfort to the bereaved family. He is survived by his father and mother, also one sister (LENNIE) Mrs. LEWIS ROODE. The hymns sung were The Haven of Rest, The Sweet Bye and Bye and The Lord's My Shepherd. The pall bearers were Rex MINGO, Harold HIGGENS, William MANNING, Russell McKAY, Douglas MURRAY, John A. McKAY. Interment was in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Floral tributes were many and beautiful.
