Anthony Turner 1950 Bridgewater Bulletin After a long and painful illness, Anthony Turner, 73 year old railway employee of Springfield, died at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Middleton on Thursday, July 6th. About two years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Turner (nee Lydia Whyte) closed their Green Lawn Inn home in Springfield and went to live at Nictaux Falls with their elder son, Walter and wife. Here they have been well and tenderly cared for. Mrs. Turner, Sr., is a semi-invalid but helped care for her husband until compelled to keep her bed because of a heart condition. Mr. Turner leaves besides his wife, two sons, Walter of Nictaux Falls and Guy of Simpson's Corner; and one daughter, Jennie, in the United States. Several children predeceased him. Funeral services were held in Springfield Baptist Meeting House Sunday afternoon, July 9, conducted by Rev. Harold Telfer. The flowers were beautiful. Burial in Springfield Cemetery.
