Kendall Samuel Oickle 2002 Halifax Chronicle Herald Kendall Samuel "Sam" Oickle, 71, Stanburne, died June 22, 2002, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born at Stanburne, he was a son of the late Percy and Ellen (Jodrey) Oickle. He was self-employed as a farmer and sawmill operator. He enjoyed participating in horse and ox pulling competitions. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Jodrey); sons, Gary (Marie), Dartmouth; Larry (Valorie) Bridgewater; Terry (Cynthia), Stanburne; Neil (Cheryl), Stanburne; Noel (Helen) Scarsdale; daughters, Sharon (Ronald Everest), Yarmouth; Deborah (Thomas Reeves), Forties; 12 grandchildren; sister, Edith Wentzell, Cookville. He was predeceased by sister, Madeline Bassett; brothers, Arnold and Laurie. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Langille's Funeral Home. Service will be held 2 p.m. today in St. John's in the Wilderness Anglican Church, New Germany, Rev. Gloria McClure-Fraser officiating. Family flowers only.
