Marie Adesse Surette 2010 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, August 12, 2010. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Marie Adesse Surette, 88, Lower Eel Brook, Yarmouth County, passed away in Nakile Home for Special Care, on August 11, 2010. She worked for many years in Massachusetts as a technician for the Honeywell Surgical Company assembling surgical equipment. She was born in Lower Eel Brook on September 16, 1921, to the late Eugene and Annie (Babin) Surette. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Virginia Surette and Anne Surette. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Jules, Pierre, and George; as well as two sisters and three brothers in infancy. There will be visitation from 7-9 p.m. today, Thursday, in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Chapel, Yarmouth, with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held from St. Anne's Church, Ste. Anne-du-Ruisseau, on Friday, August 13, at 11 a.m., with interment to follow in Ste. Anne's Parish, Father John MacPherson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Nakile Home for Special Care, St. Anne's Church or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Yarmouth.
