UNKNOWN PAPER - 3 MARCH 1951 DUNCAN MURRAY - One of Earltown's highly respected citizens, Duncan MURRAY, passed away on March 1 at the Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche, where he was a patient for the past two weeks. The late Mr. MURRAY was the son of the late Alexander and Ellen SUTHERLAND MURRAY, Earltown. Mr. MURRAY was possessed of a quiet and kindly nature and he enjoyed a wide circle of friends. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Earltown United Church and was largely attended by relatives and friends from far and near. His pastor, Rev. Ralph WAGNER, conducted the service, Hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd", "OH, God of Bethel" and "Abide with Me." Surviving are two sisters Misses Sarah and Annabell MURRAY of Earltown. Pall bearers were Andrew CAMPBELL, Murray CAMPBELL, Jim MacKENZIE, Archie MacDONALD, Archie CAMERON and Gilbert MURRAY. Interment was in the Earltown cemetery.
