Florence Myrtle Whynot 1990 Bridgewater Bulletin Florence Myrtle Whynot, 86, of North River, passed away at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater on Wednesday, September 5, 1990, after a short illness. Born at North River, she was a daughter of the late Archibald Oickle, Sr., and Rosena (Acker) Oickle. She is survived by five daughters, Eleanor (Mrs. Gordon Robar), Eva (Mrs. Leslie Daniels), Lona (Mrs. Donald Burgoyne), Beatrice (Mrs. Ellis Drew), all of North River; and June (Mrs. Fred Cloney), of McAdam New Brunswick; four sons, Russell and Foster of North River; Berlyn, Springfield; and Basil, North River; a brother, Whitford, North River; 41 grandchildren; 70 grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin; four daughters, Audrey, Marjorie, Shirley, and Rose; three sons, Bernard, Eugene, and Medford; five sisters, Beatrice, Idella, Evelyn, Goldy, and Addy-May; five brothers, William, Murray, Isaac, Abraham, and Archibald, Jr. The body rested at Langille's funeral Home, New Germany. Funeral service was held on Sunday, September 9, 1990, from St. Paul's Lutheran Church, of which she was a member, with Rev. Robert Robb officiating. Burial was in the Old North River Cemetery. Hymns sung were "Amazing Grace" "Nearer, My God, to Thee," and "Higher Hands." Paallbearers were grandsons- Tim Robar, Carter Robar, Matthew Robar, Roland Burgoyne, Myles Drew, and great grandson, Jeffery Drew.
