Maxwell Merrill Wentzell 1983 Bridgewater Bulletin Maxwell Merrill Wentzell, 78, Bridgewater, died Friday, September 30, at Hillside Pines Nursing Home. Born at Wentzell's Lake, he was a son of the late Hibbert and Emma (Cook) Wentzell. He was an honourary member of the Bridgewater Fire Department, a former member of the Bridgewater Curling Club, and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, serving on the Church Council for many years. Surviving besides his wife, the former Alice Wentzell, are a son, Linton, Wentzell's Lake; two daughters, Louise (Mrs. G.A. O'Shaughnessy), Halifax; and Betty (Mrs. Edison Allen), Miami; a brother, Cecil, Worcester Mass.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant son, Hector; two brothers, Claude and Laurie; and two sisters, Wilma and Audrey. The funeral was held from St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Burial was at Brookside Cemetery.
