Kathryn Mae Spears 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Saturday, January 29, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Kathryn Mae Spears, 88, Shelburne, died January 27, 2000, in Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point. Born at Forbes Point, Shelburne County, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Ellen (Spinny) Forbes. She was a member of the Trinity United Church and a member of the Unit B of the UCW. Surviving are sons, Roger and wife Judy, Shelburne; Roland and wife Janette, New Glasgow; sisters, Enid Smith, Barrington; Athena Colpitts, Indian Harbour, Halifax County; granddaughters, Ellen, Laura, Heather, Crystal, Joy, and Jessica. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert D; daughter, Janet. Visitation today, 2-4 p.m., funeral 4 p.m. Sunday, all in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Shelburne, Rev. Sheila Firth-Warlund. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to the Roseway Hospital or any charity.
