Fred Emeneau Progress Enterprise Fred St.Clair Emeneau, 89, died Monday, March 30, in the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born at First Peninsula, he was a son of the late John and Clara (Morash) Emeneau. He was a building contractor by trade. He is survived by his wife, the former Hilda Tanner; three daughters, Evangeline (Mrs. Cecil Stevens), Second Peninsula; Audrey (Mrs. Donald Worthington), Ontario; and Anita, at home; five sons, Franklyn, Dartmouth; Elmer, Ontario; Eric and David, Lunenburg; and Roderick, Bridgewater; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 2, from Dana L. Sweeny's Funeral Home, Lunenburg, with the Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Peter, Byrne, Frederick, all grandsons of the deceased; also Donald Walters, Evan Demone, and Paul DeMone.
