Mrs. Charlotte L. Polley 1926 Bridgewater Bulletin Published: April 27, 1926. Mrs. Charlotte L. Polley, wife of Dr. G.A. Polley of lunenburg, died at the Victoria General Hospital Wednesday night. Mrs. Polley had been ill for some time. She was the daughter of the late Alfred F. Zwicker of Mahone Bay and is survived by her husband, two sisters, and five brothers. The sisters are Mary, wife of Rev. E.N. Parry, now in England; and Florence, wife of Canon E.A. Harris, Mahone Bay. The brothers are Howard, Roxbury, Mass.; Rev. Harry F., Rector of Grace Episcopal Church, Lockeport, New York; A. Clarmont, and W.H S., both living at Mahone. The body will be taken by this afternoon's train to Mahone Bay and later to Lunenburg, where the funeral will be held from St. John's Anglican Church, Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Polley was a woman of very brilliant mentality and executive ability, which was markedly shown on her part by her clever and able work during the war, when she threw herself with all her energy into the work of the Daughters of the Empire and the Red cross. Socially she was one of the most popular women in Lunenburg.
