Alma Grace Slauenwhite 1993 Halifax Chronicle Herald Alma Grace Slauenwhite, 90, Shoreham Village Home for Special Care, Chester, formerly of the Belnan and Elmsdale areas, died February 21, 1993, in the home. Born at Lower Northfield, she was a daughter of the late Timothy and Charlotte (Conn) Oickle. She was a member of Elmsdale United Church and an honourary member of the Canadian Bible Society. She was an avid gardener and operated a greenhouse in Elmsdale for several years. She is survived by three daughters, Annie Lively, Enfield; Jean Howlett, Chester; Mary Cameron, Wellington Station; three sisters, Lorena Naugler, Lunenburg; Beatrice Mailman, Toronto; Bertha Zwicker, Windsor; brother, Harold Oickle, The Forties; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William; three sisters, Eveline, Muriel, Bernice; two brothers, Gordon and Clayton. The body is in Davis Funeral Home, Chester, visiting 7-9 p.m. today, where funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Robert Zinck officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Hill Cemetery, Nine Mile River. Donations may be made to Shoreham Village Home for Special Care, Chester.
