    3. UNKNOWN PAPER - 8 NOVEMBER 1951 MRS. EVERETT SULLIVAN - North River - On Sunday, November 4, after a long illness, Mrs. Everett SULLIVAN passed away at her home in Nuttby. Before her marriage she was Winnie SABEAN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah SABEAN of Port Lorne. Since her marriage she has lived in the village of Nuttby. She had endeared herself to the people of the community, where she took a great interest in the little Baptist Church and worked in the Sunday School. She leaves to mourn her beside husband two sons Merle W. SULLIVAN and Gerald L. SULLIVAN, one brother Henry SABEAN in Surrey, New Hampshire and two sisters, Mrs. Alberta NEAVES, Kentville, and Mrs. Estella NEAVES, Halifax. The funeral took place on Tuesday, November 6 from the Aenon Baptist Church, North River. Rev. Dr. Bruce D. KNOTT pastor of the Nuttby and North River Churches conducted the service. Miss Ida NOWLIN was organist and led the choir. The hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Mrs. Sterling PURDY sang by request the solo, "Face to Face." Dr. KNOTT spoke from the text Blessed are the dead which died in the Lord. He referred to the splendid Christian character of the departed and her willing service in every good work. He spoke comforting and helpful words to the sorrowing. The large congregation which packed the church testified to the esteem in which she was held. The casket was covered with many beautiful floral offerings the expressions of love and sympathy from relatives and friends. The interment was in the cemetery joining the church. The pall bearers were her two sons, Merle W. SULLIVAN, and Gerald L. SULLIVAN, and nephews Ernest UPHAM, Harold UPHAM, Roy NEAVES and Ivan NEAVES.
