Phoebe Ann MacKay 1940 Bridgewater Bulletin Her weary soul found rest in Jesus when there departed from this earth, on Friday morning, February 23rd., at the age of sixty years and nine months, Phoebe Ann MacKay, wife of James A. MacKay, of New Germany. The deceased was born at Union Square, the daughter of the late Foston and Sarah Feindel. She was a member of the Anglican Church, having given herself to Christ as a young girl and living in close communion with him throughout her entire life. Left to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and mother are, her husband; four children, Margery and Lester, at home; Ruth (Mrs. Silas Bolivar), also at home; and Helen (Mrs. Laurie Wile), of Buckfield; also three sisters, Nettie (Mrs. James Ernst), of Stanburne; Mrs. Theresa Patten, of West Berlin; and Flora (Mrs. Edward Bagley), of Eagle Head; and eight grandchildren. One sister, Ada, predeceased her four years ago. Following a short service at the house led by Rev. W.H. Palmer, of the United Church, the funeral was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Clinton Veinot from St. John's Church in the Wilderness on Sunday, February 25th. Interment was at New Germany Cemetery.
