OBIT # 5695 - EVENING NEWS - 24 FEBRUARY 19?? New Glasgow- Mrs. Irene Brooks, a former resident of New Glasgow, died Tuesday at the Calgary General Hospital. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of Mrs. Christine Avery and the late Norman Avery. Surviving besdies her mother are her husband, Lloyd, one son Lloyd Jr.; six daughters, Mrs.Joan Harcourt, Carol (Mrs. DeLaval), Norma (Mrs. Terrance Pentwaue), all of Calgary; Susan (Mrs. Michael Wehling), Trenton, Ont; Marion (Mrs, Peter Borisenknoff), Castlegar,B.C.; and Dorothy (Mrs. Arthur Forward), Pugwash. Also surviving are two sisters; Dorothy (Mrs. Clifford Foley), Hamilton, Ont.; Winnie (Mrs.Jack Austin), New Glasgow; five brothers, Ernest,Dunberry,PEI; James David, Ron and Charles, all of Hamilton, Ont. Funeral service and interment will take place on Monday in Calgary.
