Colin Percy Hubley 1996 Halifax Chronicle Herald Colin Percy Hubley, 74, Halifax, died August 11, 1996, in the Halifax Infirmary. Born June 17, 1922, at New Germany, he was a son of the late Percy and Isabel (McLeod) Hubley. He retired from the Province of Nova Scotia as director of accounting services for the Department of Finance after 35 years service. He was past master of Composite Lodge 105 AF&M, Halifax, past most wise sovereign, Scottish Rite; member of Philae Temple Shrine; an honourary member 33rd. degress master mason and a member of Armcrest Chapter, OES. Colin was grand treasurer of the Royal Order of Scotland. He was an avid golfer and a member of Bridgewater Golf Club. He was also a member of St. Peter's Anglican Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Dorothy Corkum; daughter, Brenda and husband George Holmes, Halifax; son, Gavin and wife Alethea, Toowoomba, Australia; granddaughter, Natalie Marie Holmes; grandson, Scott George Holmes and fiancee Shannon Veniot. He was predeceased by sister, Audrey in childhood; grandson, Troy Gavin Holmes in infancy. Visitation 2-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, Halifax. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Carmen Riggs officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery. Family flowers only.
