OBIT # 5634 - HALIFAX HERALD - 12 APRIL 1972 New Glasgow - Mrs. Hilda Mitchell, 73, of New Glasgow died Monday in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was the former Hilda Horne, daughter of the late Joseph and Sarah (Bagnell) Horne, Her husband James, predeceased her. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and a member of Pythian Sisters. She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion ladies auxiliary. Surviving are two daughters, Ruth (Mrs. Norman MacDonald), and Mildred, both in Ontario; one son, Caldwell, Ontario; several grandchildren; one sister, Mary (Mrs. Harold Armstrong), New Glasgow; two brothers, Fraser, Pictou; and Lewis, Vancouver. The body is at Ross Funeral Home, New Glasgow, where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m., with burial in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow
