Albert Cleveland Kenney 2009 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, July 7, 2009. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Albert Cleveland Kenney, Clark's Harbour, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009, in Roseway Hospital, Shelburne. Born on October 31, 1924, at Clark's Harbour, he was a son of the late Maitland and Josephine (Nickerson) Kenney. Albert was a deacon and member of the United Baptist "Stone" Church, Clark's Harbour. He enjoyed talking with his friends on the VHF, feding and raising ducks. Albert grew up on Seal Island and was very skilled at building crafts such as weather vanes and gaft handles or whatever his friends needed. Survived by sons, Albert Lowell Jr. (Jeannie) and Maxwell (Sybil), Clark's Harbour; daughters, Amanda (Kurt Symonds) Fox, Clark's Harbour; Constance (Barry) Cole, Riverport; sister, Irene Blades, Carleton Village; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, the former Marion Newell; son, Ardie; brother, Robert; sisters, Hilda, Susan, Corrinne, Barbara; three grandchildren. Visitation will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today in H. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Barrington. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in United Baptist "Stone" Church, Clark's Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to the United Baptist "Stone" Church, Clark's Harbour.
