Born at Lindsay Lake, she was a daughter of the late John and Christina (DeBaie) Miller. She lived in Upper Musquodoboit for 62 years, her entire married life. She enjoyed writing poetry as a hobby and had published two books of her work. Surviving are daughters, Norma MacDow, Mona (Mrs. Carl Rogers), Upper Musquodoboit; Erma (Mrs. Donald MacDonald), Timberlea; Karen (Mrs. Graham Swaine), Baltimore, Ont.; sons, Loren, Boyde, Elmsvale; Bryan, Eric, Upper Musquodoboit; Bruce, Eastern Passage; Currie, Lindsay Lake; Calvin, Grafton, Ont.; Ivan, at home; 32 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddy, Seaforth; Mac, British Columbia; sisters, Ella DeBaie, Dartmouth; Grace Whitman, Eastern Passage. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer; brothers, Herbie, Everett, Raymond; sister, Nora; a brother and a sister in infancy. Visitation 7-9 p.m tonight, funeral 2 p.m. Thursday, both in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, Emily Kierstead DM officiating. Burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit.
