Born at Lindsay Lake, she was a daughter of the late John and Christina (DeBaie) Miller. She lived in Upper Musquodoboit for 62 years, her entire married life. She enjoyed writing poetry as a hobby and had published two books of her work. Surviving are daughters, Norma MacDow, Mona (Mrs. Carl Rogers), Upper Musquodoboit; Erma (Mrs. Donald MacDonald), Timberlea; Karen (Mrs. Graham Swaine), Baltimore, Ont.; sons, Loren, Boyde, Elmsvale; Bryan, Eric, Upper Musquodoboit; Bruce, Eastern Passage; Currie, Lindsay Lake; Calvin, Grafton, Ont.; Ivan, at home; 32 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddy, Seaforth; Mac, British Columbia; sisters, Ella DeBaie, Dartmouth; Grace Whitman, Eastern Passage. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer; brothers, Herbie, Everett, Raymond; sister, Nora; a brother and a sister in infancy. Visitation 7-9 p.m tonight, funeral 2 p.m. Thursday, both in St. James United Church, Upper Musquodoboit, Emily Kierstead DM officiating. Burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit. Family flowers only. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
