Chronicle Herald - Thursday, 16 December 1976 - Page 34 - George A. Umlah - Fall River - George Albert Umlah, 65, of Fall River, died Wednesday in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Bessie Anne (Pineo) Mitchell-Umlah and the late Charles Umlah. He retired in 1974 after 20 years at HMC Dockyard. Surviving besides his mother are his wife, the former Grace Richardson; one daughter, Lois (Mrs. Bernard Lively), Old Sackville Road; one sister, Mrs. Helen Boutilier, Lower Sackville; one half-sister, Mrs. Verna Giffin, Brookside; two brothers, Arthur, Halifax; John, Florida; two half-brothers, Donald Michell, Florida; and Vernon Mitchell, Spryfield; and one grandson. The body is at R.D. Lindsay Funeral Home, Bedford, where funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. Gerald Steeves officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
