Nellie Zwicker 1997 Bridgewater Bulletin Nellie Zwicker, 91, of New Germany, died Monday, August 11, 1997, at home, after a lengthy illness. Born at Port Medway, Queens County, she was the daughter of the late Captain William Parnell and the late Annie (Flick) Parnell. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Roberta (Mrs. Rev. Morris Barss), Lake Fletcher; a son, Elmer, Ottawa; granddaughters, Janet, Heather, Paula, and Carla; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Timothy, Mark, Megan, and Craig. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Zwicker and second husband, Guy Zwicker; sisters, Jennie, Lottie, Scivilla (Vid); and brothers, Daniel, John, Robert, and Frank, in infancy. A private family funeral was held at Langille's Funeral Home, New Germany, with Rev. S.Grant Walls officiating. Burial at Epworth United Cemetery, New Germany. In lieu of flowers, donations were made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
