Welton Stannage Creaser 2000 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, April 20, 2000. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Welton Stannage Creaser, 85, Kingsburg, died April 18, 2000, in the Veterans Unit of the Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Riverport, he was a son of the late Willard and Etta (Mossman) Creaser. He served with the R.C.A.F. Marine Division during the Second World War. He later worked on the fleet of National Sea Products Limited. He then sailed on oil tankers for Irving Oil and on various gypsum boats. Prior to retirement, he went back to work with National Sea Products. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, Lunenburg and was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Rose Bay and an elder of the church. He was a member of the Confidence Lodge 106, Riverport. Surviving are daughter, Linda Lorraine Creaser, Blandford; brother, Lawrence, Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater; half-brother, Harold Mosher, Kingsburg. He was predeceased by his wife,the former Grace Mossman; sister, Amanda; brothers, Edson, Walton in infancy. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg with visitation 7-9 p.m. Friday. Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, Lunenburg will hold a Legion tribute Friday at 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Rose Bay, Rev. Laurence Mawhinney officiating. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Kingsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Rose Bay; Lakeview Cemetery, Kingsburg, the Canadian Cancer Society or to any charity.
