Hattie Evelyn Young 1986 Bridgewater Bulletin Hattie Evelyn Young, 79, passed away peacefully at home at Branch LaHave, May 31, 1986, after a short illness. Born at Vogler's Cove, May 15, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Zacherias and Selina (Grey) Conrad. She is survived by her husband, Doyle; three sons, Rev. Richard Conrad, Grand Prairie, Alberta; Elmer Wamboldt, Ellershouse; Gary Young, Dayspring; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Lester and Emerson; sisters, Elsie (Mrs. Morris Whynot) and Lois (Mrs. Horace Dagley); and one sister and one brother in infancy. The body rested at Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. The fueneal service was held at 2 p.m. June 3, 1986, in St. James Lutheran Church, Branch LaHave, with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Hymns sung were favourites of Hattie's, "Unto The Hills Around" and "Jesus, Saviour, Pilot Me." Two other favourites were played by the organist- "There is a Green Hill Far Away" and "Will Your Anchor Hold." The 14th. chapter of St. John was read as requested by the deceased. Pallbearers were Arthur and Carroll Young, Eldridge, Bernie, Wayne, and Barry Bolivar. Burial was in the family plot in Hillside Cemetery, Branch LaHave. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. James Lutheran Church, Branch LaHave.
