OBIT # 8133 - EVENING NEWS - 9 AUG 1972 Stellarton- Hugh Sheldon Vallantyne, Glen Haven Manor, died Monday. Born in Stellarton 76 years ago, Mr. Vallantyne was a former miner and lived in Ontario for many years, returning to this area a year ago in May. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George White, Caledon East, Ont.; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edna O'Brien, Stellarton. His wife and son predeceased him. The remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Acadia Ave., today only. The funeral service will be held in Sutton, Ont., Saturday. Interment will be in Wilford Cemetery.
