Charles Ronald Reeves 2004 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Tuesday, November 30, 2004. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Charles Ronald Reeves, 90, New Ross, passed away Friday, November 26, 2004, in the home of his daughter, Eleanor, Steam Mill. Born in New Ross, he was a son of the late Edward and Ella (Veinot) Reeves. Charles was a devoted and loving father to his family and helpful to others. He was the last remaining member of his family. Charles is survived by daughters, Eleanor Woodworth, Steam Mill; Doreen Gates, Niagara Falls; Vienna (Haldon) Reeves; daughter-in-law, Beatrice Reeves, both of New Ross; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marguerite; son, Calvin; brothers, Harold, Roland, Ira, Austin, Ray, and Robert; sisters, Ethel, Florence, and Daisy; three grandchildren. Visitation will be held 3-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, in H.C. Lindsay Funeral Home, New Ross. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 2, in Christ Anglican Church, New Ross, Rev. Leonard Bednar officiating, with interment in Christ Anglican Church Cemetery, New Ross. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Anglican Church Cemetery, New Ross or a charity of your choice.
