Alma Dean Hicks 1988 Halifax Chronicle Herald Alma Dean Hicks, 82, Pereau, Kings County, formerly of Annapolis Royal, died Thursday, February 18, 1988, in Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hospital, Kentville. Born at Lake Pleasant, Annapolis County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Acker) Emeno. She is survived by her husband, Carl; two sons, Bert Veinot, Round Hill and Alex Veinot, Canning; two brothers, Hector, Torbrook; Arnold, Kentville; one sister, Mrs. Kathleen Bayers, Kingston; 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 12 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bertram Veinot; two daughters, Winnie and Doris Rose; two sons, Reggie and Frank; three sisters, Flora, Hester, and Eva; four brothers, Clifford, Edmond, Ray, and Aubrey. The body is in Robert L. Hall Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal, where funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m., William Creighton officiating. Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or any charity.
