Mrs. Donald Morris 1972 Bridgewater Bulletin The sudden death of Norene Jewell on May 20, 1972, was unexpected and the community was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. She was born at Hemford March 2,1919. She was the eldest daughter of Mrs. Elreta Woodworth and the late Oran Woodworth of Hemford and the wife of Donald Morris; two daughters, Ruth and Donna of Melvern Square. Besides leaving a sorrowing mother, husband, and daughters, she was the sister of Kenneth Woodworth of Yarmouth; Bruce Woodworth, New Germany; Glen Woodworth, Hemford; Buster Woodworth, Wolfville; and Gerelene (Mrs. Ray Varner), of New Germany. The largely attended funeral was conducted by Rev. William Moorehead, assisted by Rev. Wm. Freeman and Rev. Richard Jones. They spoke comforting words to her husband, daughters, mother, and family and to all her friends who she lent a helping hand, but God has called her home for a more special reason. Hymns sung were Norene's favourites, "Oh, That will be Glory for Me," "Brighten the Corner Where You are," "Near to the Heart of God," and by special request, a friend, Kenneth Kaizer sang,"How Great Thou Art." Interment was at North Kingston Cemetery.
