James Hilyard Ernst 1959 Bridgewater Bulletin James Hilyard Ernst, 61, died at his home in Farmington. He had been in failing health for a number of years. Born in Union Square, he was the son of the late James and Minetta Feindel Ernst. Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Sperry; one son, Guy at Farmington; and one daughter, Roxy, at home; five brothers, Laurie in Ontario; Lemuel and Albert at North River; Edward at New Germany; Clayton at Stanburne; and three sisterss, Mable (Mrs. Naaman Veinot), Ontario; Mrs. Flora Acker, Lake Pleasant; and Mildred (Mrs. Oran Whynott), New Germany. Funeral service was held in the Anglican Church, New Germany, with Rev. W.A. Trueman officiating. Burial took place in the Barss Corner Community Cemetery.
