OBIT # 8043 - EVENING NEWS - 5 MARCH 1971 Stellarton- Thomas Edward Simpson, 279 Coll Ave., died at the home of his son at an early hour this morning. Born in Stellarton, 81 years ago, he lived all his life here with the exception of 10 years spent out west. He was the son of the late Thomas and Thomasina Simpson and was employed for 25 years in the mines. He was one of the original draegermen in the area. In later years he was self employed. The last surviving member of his parents family, he is survived by a son Dan, Stellarton; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Annie, two years ago, also three sisters and a brother. The remains will rest at the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home after 7 o'clock this evening.
