UNKNOWN PAPER - JAMES ROBERT MACPHERSON January 5, 1980. Tatamagouche - James Robert MacPHERSON, 78, of Tatamagouche died Jan. 5, in East Cumberland Lodge Pugwash. Born in Sand Point he was the son of the late Neil and Lillian (TATTRIE) MacPHERSON. He was a Buttermaker at the Tatamagouche Creamery until his retirement in 1964. He was a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows (I00F) and Past Noble Grand. He was also a member of the Encampment and Rebekah Lodges and was an adherent of Sharon United Church. He is survived by two daughters Elsie (Mrs. Ernest COLE) Tatamagouche and Marguerite (Mrs. Otis RUSSELL) Dartmouth, one brother Charlie Springhill Junction, one sister Mrs. Harry HAYMAN Victoria B.C., six grandchildren and five great grand children. He was predeceased by his wife the former Edith TATTRIE and two brothers Hughie and Smith. A Rebekah's and Oddfellow Memorial service was held Monday night Jan. 7, and the funeral was held Tuesday from the Sharon United Church Rev Kenneth ROBINSON officiating. Burial was in Lockerby's Cemetery. Pallbearers all Oddfellows lodge members were Henry MURRAY, Harold McCONNELL, Bruce TUCKER, George COX, Aubrey KIRK, and Otis MacKINNON. Flower bearers were Oddfellows and Rebekah's.
