OBIT # 8020 - UNKNOWN PAPER - 21 SEP 1961 Stellarton- Neil Sample, 37, formerly of this town, was killed early this morning while at work with the sanitation department of Willowdale, Ont. According to word received by his family here, he had fallen off the truck, which passed over him. This occured about 3 o'clock and he passed away at 4:30. Mr. Sample was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sample of Willowdale, formerly of Stellarton. His parents moved to Willowdale some years ago. and this spring celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, when all their large family were together under the same roof for the first time. Mr. Sample was a member of the United Church. He had spent his holidays here only a short time ago. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife (the former Lois Fleming) and two sons, Robert and Eldon, of Stellarton; and 16 brothers and sisters: John and Elinor (Mrs. Carl Cosh) in Stellarton; Robert in Westville; Frances (Mrs. Charles Courts), Etta (Mrs.Russell Cade), Bertha (Mrs. T.Chard), Shirley (Mrs.J. Hamson), Elaine, Tom, Claude, Russell, Frank, Bruce, Harold, Wayne and Dell, all in the Willowdale area. The funeral will be held in Ontario at a time to be announced later. Mrs. Sample, Mrs. Cosh and John Sample will be going up to attend the services.
