Born in Parkdale, Lunenburg County, he was a son of the late Doris and Evelyn (Rafuse) Veinot. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of Middleton, Branch 1, Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Mabel Smith; five daughters, Bernice (Mrs. David Fritz), Tremont; Faye (Mrs. Louis Kyriakakis), Medicine Hat; Joan (Mrs. Arthur Bent), Wilmot; Deborah (Mrs. Don Aker), Middleton; Deanna (Mrs. Scott Marshall), Middleton; three sons, Vance, Langton, Ontario; Carl, Nictaux; Joseph, Weymouth; three sisters, Phyllis (Mrs. Herbert Langille), Brooklyn; Frances (Mrs. James Saunders), Bridgetown; Isobel (Mrs. Lyman Parks), Nictaux; three brothers, Malcolm, Raymond, both of Brooklyn; Albert, Nictaux; 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by an infant sister and two infant brothers. The body is in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Middleton United Baptist Church, Rev. Norman Hovland officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.
