Ellis Lamont Latham 2004 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Thursday, April 29, 2004. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Ellis Lamont Latham,79, Port Mouton, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born at Port Mouton, he was a son of the late Edgar and Gertrude (Daury) Latham. He was a self-employed fisherman for most of his working life. Ellis will be remembered as a quiet kind man who loved his family. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Terry) Manthorne, Mersey Point; stepson, Thomas, Port Mouton; grandchildren, Karen and Evan; step granddaughter, Angela; great-granddaughter, Kaleigh; step great-grandchildren, Danielle and Julian; sister, Mona (Robert) Inness, Port Mouton. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Addie Burgess. Visitation will be today from 7-9 p.m. in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 30, at 2 p.m. in Peaceful Hill Cemetery, Port Mouton, Rev. Wayne Mitton officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Queens County Branch of the Victorian Order of Nurses.
