Mrs. Titus Ramey 1946 Bridgewater Bulletin Following several years of illness, a stroke of paralysis caused the death of Carrie Hulda, beloved wife of Mr. Titus Ramey, at her home at Oak Hill, near Bridgewater, October 10, 1946. Born at Springfield, Annapolis County, June 21, 1870, she spent her entire married life at Bridgewater, where she enjoyed the friendship of a wide circle of friends, who learned with deep regret of her sudden passing. She is survived by one daughter, Elma (Mrs. Aubrey Hirtle), of Big Lots; three sons, Claude at Bridgewater; Kenneth at Flint, Michigan; Chas., whereabouts unknown; four grandchildren; two brothers at Hingham, Masssachusetts, Hubert and Leslie; and one sister, at Kemptville, Yarmouth County, (Mrs. Percy Hamilton). Another sister, Agnes, predeceased her in 1915, also an aged father in 1915, and mother in 1928. The funeral service was held at the home Sunday afternoon, October 13, and was attended by a large number of neighbours and friends. Rev. D.L. Kennedy officiated and spoke comforting words to the bereaved family. Hymns sung were "Nearer, My God, to Thee," "Abide With Me," and "Sands of Time." Pall-bearers were Wm. Silver, Wm. Ernst, Harold Whynot, and William Fitch. Interment was at Brookside Cemetery.
