Ellen Groser Hiseler 2006 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, August 4, 2006. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Ellen Groser Hiseler, 93, Halifax, passed away on August 3, 2006. Born at Mahone Bay, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Sadie (Lantz) Adams. A woman of determination and independence, Ellen worked alongside her husband and son fo rmore than 30 years at the family business, Hiseler's Limited. Ellen is survived by her grandchildren, Nancee Ellen (Pottie) and Stuart (Kevin); great-grandchild, Sarah Pottie; daughter-in-law, Diane Hiseler, all of Halifax; as well as nieces and nephews on the South Shore and in Maine. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Edwin; son, Gary Douglas; and her siblings, Florence, Mona, and Boyd. As were her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral service. A private burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
