    3. OBIT # 8280 - EVENING NEWS - 2 JAN 1964 New Glasgow- Mrs. Norman Chadwick, 611 Trenton Road, died in the Aberdeen Hospital at 9:45 Wednesday night. She had been ill for seven years and had been taken to the Aberdeen Monday afternoon by ambulance. She was the former Jessie MacArthur, born May 26, 1908, in Stellarton, a daughter of the late John and Margaret(MacDonald) MacArthur. A member of St. John the Baptist Parish, she had been a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Altar Society and active in both until her illness. She was also a member of St. John's Choir. Mrs. Chadwick is survived by her husband; two daughters, Norma, at home; and Anne (Mrs. Malcolm Bond), of New Glasgow; two sons, Ronald with the Bank of Nova Scotia at Saint John, N.B.; and David, at home; two grandchildren; five sisters, Bella(Mrs. Eric Strickland), Trenton; Winnie (Mrs. John Allan), New Glasgow; Margaret and Sadie MacArthur and Helen (Mrs. Ned Walters), all of Ottawa; and two brothers, Dan in Stellarton and James in Ottawa. A brother Jack was killed in World War II, and she was also predeceased by two other brothers, Alex and Bill; and three sisters, Mary (Mrs. James B. MacDonald), Kate (Mrs. Alex MacDonald) and Anne, who died of appendicitis at 13, as well as two others in infancy. The remains will rest at the Ross Funeral Home, MacDonald St., and the funeral arrangements will be announced later.
