OBIT # 8288 - EVENING NEWS - 9 AUG 1963 Stellarton- A man who began work in the coal mines here at the age of nine and continued for 67 years, died at the Aberdeen Hospital this morning in his 92nd year. He was Thomas Albert Clark, Riverbank St., and he only entered the hospital yesterday. His 92nd birthday would have been Nov.30. Mr. Clark was born in Stellarton, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clark. He was a member of Fuller Lodge No.5, IOOF and had received his 50-year jewel from the lodge.He was also a member of Christ Anglican Church. Surviving are four sons, Herbert, in Toronto; John, Gordon and Arthur in Stellarton; two daughters, Frances (Mrs. Fraser) and Gladys (Mrs. Kenneth Graham), both of Stellarton; one sister, Miss Mary Clark in Arlington, Mass.; and one brother David in Stellarton. His wife died 15 years ago. The remains are resting at the home on Riverbank St., and the funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from Christ Church with burial in the church cemetery.(Christ Church Cemetery- Thomas Clark 1871-1963 Frances Ann Brooks (w) 1875-1948)
