UNKNOWN PAPER - ELMON SHEARER 1939. New Annan - Again death has visited us with its accompanying sadness and sorrow. This time not to the aged, but to a young man in the bloom of his youth. On Jan. 30th, Elmon SHEARER 20 years of age, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. George SHEARER, Cavanaugh Mills, was called away leaving to mourn besides his parents, one brother Baxter and sister Lillie to whom is extended the sincere sympathy of their many friends and neighbours. Elmon had been steadily in the woods until about 10 days before his death when he was stricken with a severe attack of kidney trouble with complications which proved fatal in such a short time. Among the young men in the community and those with whom he worked, Elmon was a great favorite and was the soul of honor among his fellow men as has often been stated by those who knew him.
