John Sterling Bell 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, November 16, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie John Sterling Bell, 67, Halifax, passed away peacefully November 14, 2001, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Shelburne, he was a son of the late Gordon and Jean (Lavender) Farmer. He liked to hunt and coach children's ball teams. He is survived by brothers, Basil, Calgary; Robert, Halifax; sisters, Pauline, Halifax; Catherine, Fredericton; Irene, Shelburne; Sylvia, Toronto; Priscilla, Shelburne; Lorraine, Toronto; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, George; sisters, Constance, Gloria, Amelia "Nin." Cremation has taken place and service will be held in Shelburne at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Children's Wish Foundation. His brother, Robert, will be having a reception for family and friends at his home on November 17, from 2-4 p.m.
