Walker, 80, Liverpool, died Monday, November 19, 2001, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late W.L. "Lockie" and Grace (Munro) Palmeter. She had a love for her family, people and for life in general reflected in her involvement as a youth leader for Explorers in her earlier years as well an avid interest in politics, especially on the local scene. She loved to travel and she loved music. She is survived by her husband, Harley; daughters,Sandy Brown, Port Mouton; Barbara (Brian) Girling, Kitchener; sons, James (Sharon), Halifax; Gerry, Western Head; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret (Bev) Eaton, New Minas; Georgie Phinney, Kentville; brother, Donald (Margaret), Comox, British Columbia. She was predeceased by brother, Lockhart; sister, Jean Corey. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Chandlers' Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 23, in Milton Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Rev. Jerry Ridling officiating. Burial in Milton Community Cemetery.
