Born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late John and Jennie (Little) Nickerson. She was a member of the Ba'hai faith, a homemaker, and mother. She managed the Dairy Treat in Dayton for several years. She enjoyed walking her dog, Missy. She operated a video arcade with her second husband, Gerald. She loved to travel. She is survived by her first husband, James McRae Sr., Yarmouth; daughters, Marsha (James) Fitt, Stellarton; Susan (Frank) Amon, Hebron; son, James McRae Jr., Yarmouth; brother, George (Freda) Nickeerson, Wellington, Yarmouth County; sister, Joyce (Ozzie) Hodge, Waterville, Quebec. She was predeceased by her second husband, Gerald Star; sister, Katherine Trask; brother, Douglas; grandson, Chris Amon.
