UNKNOWN PAPER - THOMAS BURTON FIFE 1963. Tatamagouche - passed away at the VG Hospital Halifax March 21, following a short illness. He was the son of the late Margaret (Brown) and Burton FIFE born at Parrsboro June 12, 1913. He was a member of the Anglican Church, Parrsboro. He resided at French River and Tatamagouche for the past 19 years. He was employed with the Department of Public Works Dartmouth. Surviving are his widow the former Vera PATRIQUIN of French River, three daughters Mrs. Richard HERON (Cheryl) of Truro, and Sharon and Donna both at home. Also three sisters Rhoda (Mrs. Thomas WALSH), Christena and Isabel FIFE all of Brooklyn, New York, and three brothers James (Dick) of Parrsboro, John of Springhill, and Ray of Brooklyn, N.Y. He was predeceased by two sisters Rose and Agnes. The remains rested at the Bonnyman Funeral Home. The largely attended funeral service was held in the Sharon United Church Tatamagouche. Conducted by Rev. Robert H. MILLA, hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross", "The Lords my Shepherd" and "Till we Meet". Pallbearers were Dennis TATTRIE, George ROBERTS, Dave BROWN, Harold MacLEOD, Lloyd TATTRIE and Jim CUNNINGHAM. The floral tributes were many and beautiful and testified to the esteem in which he was held. Interment was at Lockerby's Cemetery, Tatamagouche.
