Rita Louise Collicut 2001 Halifax Chronicle Herald Published: Friday, November 16, 2001. >From the collection of Gwen Christie Rita Louise Collicut, 68, Canaan, died Thursday, November 15, 2001, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Chester, she was a daughter of the late Harris and Nellie (Graves) Stevens. She worked for various families in Chester doing house cleaning for many years. Rita was very artistic and used her talents in various ways. She was a member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester. She is survived by daughter, Nellie, Lunenburg; son, Carman and his wife, Elaine, Canaan; sister, Helen Ernst, Blockhouse; brother, Burnell Stevens, Chester; grandchildren, David Zinck Jr., Venessa Zinck, Jamie Collicut, Ian Collicut; great-grandson, Quinten Rafuse. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis "Samuel;" brothers, Chester, Ernie, Gordon, and an infant. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Chester, Rev. Sean Taylor and Rev. James Haughn officiating. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery, Windsor Road. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Stephen's Anglican Church.
